Jade Yoga Macaranga Mat Bag – Black

Made in Nepal in partnership with Local Women’s Handicraft, an organization dedicated to empowering and educating women in Nepal, providing a safe space for women who have escaped abusive practices, with the goal of ending childhood slavery, forced marriage and other injustices against women.  Made with organic cotton duck (canvas), the Macaranga yoga mat bag has an adjustable shoulder strap, one main compartment large enough to hold a mat, block, towel, or change of clothes, and a smaller outside pocket for personal items.  Dimensions are 26″ x 8″ x 4″.  (Please note our Extra wide mats will not fit in these bags – please check back for larger bags in the near future).

Not only is the Macaranga yoga mat bag made with organic cotton and support women in Nepal, but a portion of the sale of every Jade “Macaranga“ bag also goes to protect the habitat for chimpanzees in Uganda’s Hoima District.  Macaranga is a species of tree indigenous to this region that is a preferred nesting spot for chimpanzees.
